Membership and Recognition
Channel Islands Bible College & Seminary is a school of theology and operates as a non-profit organization under the oversight of Nyeland Community Church. We currently function as a ministry under the non-profit tax exemption of the church. However, we are re-structuring our organization and charter in order to comply with Section 94303 (B) of the California State Education Code as an independent exempt institution, and are in the process of incorporating so as to function independent of Nyeland Community Church with the board of regents being approved by the church.
Channel Islands Bible College and Seminary has full accreditation for issuing theology degrees through The Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges, and Seminaries. ACI is an accrediting body as noted in the Library of Congress (TXI-191-5760).
Our Heritage
Channel Islands Bible College and Seminary is a non-denominational Christian equipping center organized for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of ministry. It began as a vision of Nyeland Community Church in January of 1999 and opened its doors for the spring semester in February of 1999.
Although we are in the adolescent stage of operation, we are already making an impact upon the area churches and are confident God has great things in store in the years to come. |
